Juxtaposition allows certain elements of a project to stand out. This is a bowl that is 2.75 inches tall, 2.25 inches wide at the base, and 4.5 inches wide at the lip. The project gets wider as it gets taller and the lip is flared. The inside of the project is glazed in turquoise matte and then the entire project was glazed in clear so that it was shiny all over. The contrast between the color on the inside of the project out to the lip juxtaposes against the clear outside, making the inside color pop and stand out.
