The way a project is glazed can give the effect of texture. This is a tall project that is 4 inches tall and 3 inches wide at the lip. At the bottom, the project has a cylindrical shape. The belly of the project widens towards the top and then it is chocked so it is narrow at the lip. The lip is not flared; rather it is vertical and sticks straight up. The inside of the project and the lip is glazed with cobalt blue and the outside of the project is painted with blue stain and then glazed in clear. I stained the project in with short, wavy lines with the stain in different saturations. The wavy design gives the appearance of texture on the project.
